Hi Family

Hello mom!
This week wasn't as exciting as your guys week! But it was still good. We kinda had that recovery week. Where we were still busy but, nothing really exciting happened! Haha! Well,  Besides the normal missionary work!(: Nothing exciting!
We were able to commit one of our new investigators to baptism for the 19th. He was so happy! When we invited him, his face just lit up! He was so excited! It was so cute! He is 22 years old and he started taking lessons after dating a girl for 3 years. When he started he said he had no intentions for getting baptized, but after the 1st lesson he was hooked! We saw him 4 times last week. We are so excited for him. He was super cute because he said that he had been praying really hard about baptism since lessons started! So we answered his prayers. it was awesome.

We also got this former investigator to church on Sunday. Who is now an investigator. But, she is in her 40's and she had a seizure a few months ago. But the left side of her body doesn't work that well. So it is hard for her to come to church. But, we made her come this week! We went and picked her up. it took her like 20 minutes to walk from her house to the car. But its is all okay, because she came to church! That was such an accomplishment! haha(:
Other than that this week has been good. President and Sister Klingler left. But President and Sister Layton are AWESOME! They are like so awesome! i got to meet them last night. They are so full of love and their excited to be here! Even though we will miss President and Sister Klingler, I am excited for this new change!(:
I love you guys. Have a good week! BE GOOD!!!(:

Best Birthday EVA!!!!

HI MY FAMILY!!  This week has been so much fun! I had one of the best birthdays EVAAAAA! And thanks to you guys I could totally feel the love from home!!(: And before I start talking and not making sense, THANK YOU EVERYONE for the birthday wishes, you all are amazing and I love and miss you guys too!
Well, so my week started good! We had such a fun Family Home Evening. Me and Sister Trammell got in a small cake fight. The india family was just laughing at us the whole time. But we had to keep ourselves from starting a complete cake fight.. eventhough it did cross my mind! haha(:
Tuesday we did missionary work.. haha(: We went and saw the kids we were preparing for baptism this week. They were all SO excited! They were so cute! All they wanted to do the whole lesson was bear their testimony! Their the BEST! There is just something about sharing the gospel to kids that I just LOVE!!!(:
Wednesday... we are teaching this family who speaks very little english. Just basics so we are teaching them english and teaching them the gospel. It is SO AWESOME! We are teaching them with the other sisters because they are literally in the middle of our areas. So we are sharing them. But it has been so much fun teaching them! They are a family that I LOVE seeing at church every Sunday. They are just awesome.
Thursday.. We had service! It was so much fun! We went to a less actives family house and they live in this room that is probably as big as Jess' room. And they have a kitchen beds and a couch... so you can just imagine how squished. BUT, the mom had to go to work so she left us home with the kids to clean her whole house.. which isn't that bad. But when you live in that tiny of a space, you shove things where they aren't supposed to be and things get put in places you don't want to put your hands. But it was all ok. It wasn't the grossest house I have cleaned here. But, we did find puppies!!(: And it was fun being with the kids and just hanging out with them!(: Which by the way, they did come to church on Sunday AND she went to temple prep class!!!! YES!!!(:
Friday... We went to the chapel to do our studies, because I have realized I HATE BEING INSIDE! Especially at this time of year. Because it is just beautiful right now! But we went over there and did studies and weekly planning. Then we went and saw the people getting baptized one last time as investigators.... And they were all so excited and ready!(:
Saturday.... THE BEST DAY EVER! We woke up and went and played volleyball in the morning with some of the other missionaries and then Brother and Sister Solanki show up with cake! They all start singing and it was SO cute and the cake was SO CUTE! it was checkered. She is the bomb. Then we went home and Sister Trammell invited me over for cake so we studied and went over to her house and I walk in and she had decorated her flat with decorations and she invited Sister Limburg and Newsom (senior missionarieds) and also the other sisters over for a little birthday party. We had grilled cheese sandwiches, and another delicious cake and ice cream. It was so cute and so fun. We then went to teach our investigators english. So we went down there and we taught them the ABC's. It was so cute! and so much fun! Then we went to the chapel... got ready for the baptism and then the kids showed up... of course their all excited and happy... and guess what?! They forget their clothes. SO the oldest daughter runs home.. and when i say run home i mean literally run home... because they don't live that close... so she ran all the way in her chaba and made it back right in time. We hurried and got all 3 dressed and hurried in the chapel. The baptism went so good. Pritika the other girl asked me to speak. So I spoke on Baptism and everyone said it was good. The baptism was just awesome. These 4 people are just so awesome! I love them so much! The kids have become like my little brothers and sisters. and Pritika has become like me best friend. They are all so awesome! I was so so so happy for them! Then after the baptism we went to dinner with the Solankis. we went to MEXICAN FOOD. And it still wasn't real mexican food. But, it was the closest thing you can get in Fiji! So I was just in Heaven. I opened you package and was so happy about all of it. I actually almost cried reading jess and gregs letter. It was just the best bday ever! I loved it! It was just awesome!
Sunday... church was awesome too! I LOVED IT! We are studying the priiesthood and it has been SO interesting to me. The indian family came to churhc again.. (: The kids got confirmed. And it was just an awesome Sunday. One of our investigators brought a friend to church. He is interested so we got a new investigator. Which will be awesome!(: I'll tell you more about him next time. But, he is awesome!
This week was totally awesome. I just love being a missionary. I just love sharing the gospel. I have really realized, how bright the light of Christ is in kids. I LOVE sharing the gospel with them. I LOVE IT! once again, thank you so so so much for all the love I could feel on my birthday! I HAVE THE BEST FAMILY EVER!!(:
I love you guys SO SO SO MUCH!(:

Just call me the Wart Whisperer

Hello my Wonderful Family!!

Hello my wonderful family!
This week has been a good week and a sad week! But everything happens for a reason right?!
So i'll start with Monday:
Sister Iro got released from the hospital. The Assistants went and picked her and brought her to me. Then we had to go to the office because President Klingler wanted to see her. So we went up to the office, since we can do that because I am so close to it now.. But we went and waited fro him. In the mean time, they tell me that Sister Iro is going home... She was too sick to keep serving and it wouldn't have helped anyone if she stayed. So they sent her home! It was actually really hard on me.. But I guess it is all for a good reason. But that kinda ruined my week. I know that her going home was for a good reason though! She couldn't have stayed. She was in too much pain and her staying her wouldn't have helped anyone!
Tuesday: We took her to the airport and Sister Iro went home. We went to district meeting and then I have been with Sister Trammell and Sister Eneri since then. We had a fun week! And I am actually surprised we have made it in a trio this long! This is the 1st time in the history of the Fiji Suva mission, that we have had 2 white girls serve together. And it has been SO FUN! Sister Eneri said that we are the 2 craziest white girls she has ever met!
Wednesday: We had Zone Conference. IT WAS SO GOOD! I learned SO much! It was SO HELPFUL and I am really going to miss the Klinglers. I was asked to talk on being Charitable. Which is funny because I am not that charitable... haha! But I talked about the most charitable person I know. And I chose MOM!(: I read the coolest quote it is by Marvin J Ashton. "Perhaps the greatest charity comes when we are kind to each other, when we don't judge or catagorize someone else, when we simple give each other the benefit of the doubt or remain quiet. Charity is accepting someones differences, weaknesses, and shortcomings; having patience with someone who has let us down or resisting the impulse to become offended when someone doesn't handle something the way we might have hoped. CHarity is refusing to take advantage or anothers weaknesses and being willing to forgive someone who has hurt us. Charity is expecting the best of each other... If we could just look into each others hearts and understand the unique challenges each of us face, i think we would treat each other much more gently, with more love, patience, tolerance and care." I LOVED it! And I think that it is the perfect form of charity we need as a missionary!
Thursday: We had service at a members house. We invited the warsd to come and help because we were helping rebuild the house. So we had all the elders come and we had a lot of people from the ward turn up! It turned out to be really good and was good to serve others. It was good to see the smile of the peoples face when members came! It was awesome! Then that night, Sister Trammell has a ward on the bottom of her foot... gross right? But because I lLOVE her... I picked out the seed for her... hahahah(: It was so funny! It was definitely a had to be there moment, but the pictures will explain and you will laugh! Hopefully(: haha! But I have a new nickname! ....the WART WHISPERER!!(; haha
Friday: We had planning and made cookies for the Zone leaders. We had a lesson with a guy named Pita. He is a newer investigator. I have been teaching him since about April. He has alrweady taken lessons and he is SUPER SMART. Like I just found out he got into UCBerkley but decided to stay in Fiji... no biggie! But anyways, we taught him and he totally got scared I was committing him to baptism when I was just inviting him to come to church... haha! We laughed about it and told him to keep praying about baptism. But he will be baptized one day! We also got a referral from some members, so we had them take us to the house, and IT IS A FAMILY! Their name is the Lata family! Their awesome! there is 5 of them. It will be so much fun teaching them!
Saturday: It was raining so I was soackign wet all day long! But we had a good day! We were able to see a lot of people. We were able to visit a lot of families and we were able to visit a lot of members. We visited a member and she told us that Sister trammell is going to be the 1st one to be married 1st because she is so CUTE... hahaha(: And then she tried to cover it up by saying you're cute too! But Sister Trammel is just so cute boys won't turn her down! Then She said I am too mature, so my husband will have to wait for me to be ready to get engaged, but her husband will just propose! HAHAHA! It was the weirdest but funniest conversation. I was laughing so hard! Then as we were leaving, I was teasing Sister Trammell about being cute, and she says "Its ok Sister Rich you're sexy, you got all the curves in all the right places! HAHA! We were DYING!(:
Sunday: We had AN AWESOME SUNDAY! We had 9 investigators at church! 9!!!! We got that whole family to come to church, and then 4 others! We had such a good day! The chapel was FULL! It was so awesome. One of those moments you see the friuts of your labor! It was AWESOME! Then we had dinner at the Collins house! They made Spaghetti(: It was so good!
Other important things: I have some weird eye problem. Haha i had to go to the doctors today. They thought it was conjunctavitis, but what they gave me was not helping. I have had the same thing 3 times since I came to Suva. Which has already been 9 weeks! ( WEEKS!!!! And can you believe I have been out 10 months! I can't believe it! CRAZY!
Well this week was good! It was interesting, but still fun! You make the best out of what you have! I really am grateful to be a missionary! It is hard, but it is fun and the most amazing thing on this earth. I wouldn't want to be anywhere but here. I love you guys so much! Have a good week(: And hopefully little madix comes this week!(: LOVE YOU!
